Toy Porgs are on Sale! a Star Wars Story

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has taken over the box office. While the critics and fans are still fighting over it, I’d like to discuss what the hell happened in the writers room. And by discuss I mean list everything wrong that prevented me from enjoying what should have been an easy ride.

Top 5 Most Exciting titles Showcased at E3

E3 being behind us almost a full month I'm late to the coverage party, yet I feel compelled to express my excitement for certain titles that were re-introduced or announced. Most of the following won't be much of a surprise for anyone who knows me, but don't fret an indie title made its way in there!

Everything I despised about Jurassic World

Jurassic World is a fantastic movie if your only expectations are that it will contain dinosaurs, action scenes and won’t take itself seriously. If you were looking for originality, cleverness and visual spectacles akin to the first title you will have a bad time. Don’t get me wrong, the movie is still entertaining and it will certainly gain traction with the younger end of the target audience (or your inner 9 years old as would say Jorge), but I can’t get over how Michael Bay-esque the second half feels. Here's my CinemaSins take on it.

Why you should give Interstellar a second look

The latest Christopher Nolan was released today on Blu-Ray and DVD (time to update your setup, fellow geek) and I can’t wait to have my second viewing. While I patiently way for the UPS guy to deliver my copy, I thought it’d be nice to detail why you should probably watch this amazing film, if you haven’t already. If you have, just do it a second time for awareness’ sake.

Eve Valkyrie may be the space sim to rule them all

What a glorious era to be alive… and be a fan of space simulation games. It has been quite a while since we were able to satisfy our hunger for interstellar destruction. In my opinion, the last great space sim was Freespace 2, released back in 1999. After a drought of many years in which publishers steered away from releasing anything descent (the pun was worth the voluntary typo) in the genre, we will soon be attacked from all fronts with releases like Elite: Dangerous, No Man’s Sky and Star Citizen but the one that has me excited the most is Eve Valkyrie. Why the delay of Witcher 3 is a good thing for the games industry

Earlier this week CD Projekt Red, probably my favorite game developer at the moment, has announced they would delay the release of the highly anticipated Witcher 3. It is not the first time this occurs and as the polish company is known for, they are very open about their reasoning behind the need for additional development time. This kind of news is not new to this industry but unfortunately it is received negatively by the gamers who perceive this as failure to deliver. Here’s my analysis of why I believe this is actually a great step forward for the triple-A games market that’s been in decline for the past few years.
